Here are two rad music videos by LA artist Jason Yates. You may know Yates from his enigmatically colored, obsessive portraits. Perhaps you've seen his wildly composed show posters for LA musicians like reclusive hiss-pop dark prince Ariel Pink. His music videos are disturbing, repulsively repetitive montages of not-quite-familiar images. The videos have a harsh, vintage quality that combines nostalgia and terror. The music sounds like an introduction to an early 90s infomercial.
Yates's design project is Fast Friends Inc. These videos correspond to a music project called Geneva Jacuzzi.
Do you like the big butts?
